న్ సిటీ బెంగళూరు (Bengaluru) లో నీటి సంక్షోభం (Water Crisis) మరింత తీవ్రమైంది. దాంతో సమస్యను ఎదుర్కొనేందుకు కర్ణాటక ప్రభుత్వం సంచలన నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఇకపై బెంగళూరులో కార్ వాషింగ్ (car wash), గార్డెనింగ్, నిర్మాణ పనులు, వాటర్ ఫౌంటైన్‌లు మొదలైన వాటికి తాగు నీటిని వినియోగించడంపై నిషేధం విధించింది. ఒకవేళ ఎవరైనా ఈ నిబంధనను ఉల్లంఘిస్తే రూ.5,000 జరిమానా విధిస్తామని కర్ణాటక నీటి సరఫరా మురుగునీటి బోర్డు (KWSSB) ప్రకటించింది. బెంగళూరు నగరంలో వేలాది బోర్‌వెల్‌లు ఎండిపోవడంతో నీటి ఎద్దడి ఏర్పడిందని పలువురు అంటున్నారు. 2023లో వర్షాభావ పరిస్థితుల కారణంగా కర్ణాటక రాజధాని బెంగళూరు ఇటీవల అత్యంత తీవ్రమైన నీటి సంక్షోభాన్ని ఎదుర్కొంటోంది.
